Pirogov Drinking Bishofit for Internal Use
What is Pirogov Bishofit?
Pirogov Bishofit is a natural magnesium-mineral complex obtained from the Poltava bishofit deposit and prepared for internal use. Its mineral composition is primarily based on magnesium ions and chlorides and also contains bromine and other naturally occurring mineral components.
Bishofit is best known as a balneological product, but its use is not limited to baths, applications and external procedures. One of the areas of bishofit therapy is the internal intake of specially prepared drinking bishofit.
The high magnesium content accounts for a significant part of bishofit's properties. Magnesium is involved in the normal functioning of the nervous system, brain, heart and skeletal muscles, energy metabolism and many other physiological processes. Therefore, insufficient magnesium intake may affect the functioning of various body systems.
Poltava Bishofit by Dr. Pirogov Laboratory is used in bishofit therapy, health-resort practice, and comprehensive wellness and rehabilitation programs.
What is drinking Pirogov Bishofit used for?
Drinking Pirogov Bishofit is used as a source of a natural magnesium-mineral complex and as part of comprehensive bishofit therapy programs.
Internal use of bishofit may be included:
- as an additional source of magnesium and naturally occurring mineral components;
- when the body's magnesium requirements are increased;
- in comprehensive programs for gastroduodenal conditions;
- for conditions affecting the biliary tract and hepatobiliary system;
- in comprehensive programs for metabolic disorders;
- to support intestinal function and bile secretion;
- in health-resort and outpatient treatment programs;
- during recovery and rehabilitation;
- during periods of high physical and training loads;
- in sports practice.
Pirogov Bishofit is also used in wellness programs aimed at supporting mineral balance and the normal functioning of the nervous, muscular and cardiovascular systems.
Clinical studies of Pirogov Bishofit
An important feature of the product is that its manufacturer, Dr. Pirogov Laboratory, directly participated in clinical and experimental studies of Poltava bishofit and its applications.
The studies examined the biological and biochemical effects of bishofit's components on the human body, as well as its potential use in preventive, therapeutic, health-resort and rehabilitation programs.
In particular, the internal use of Pirogov Bishofit was studied in relation to conditions of the gastroduodenal system, biliary tract, cardiovascular system and genitourinary system.
A separate area of research focused on the use of Poltava bishofit in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism disorders, as well as in the comprehensive treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Drinking bishofit for the stomach and intestines
Drinking bishofit for the stomach and intestines is used as part of comprehensive programs for gastroduodenal and digestive system conditions.
The internal use of Pirogov Bishofit has been studied in gastroduodenal and biliary tract disorders. Bishofit helps support intestinal function and has choleretic properties, which allows it to be used in relevant health-resort and outpatient programs.
When bishofit therapy is used, accompanying digestive disorders should be taken into account, including gallbladder and sphincter dysfunction, chronic acalculous cholecystitis and irritable bowel syndrome.
Bishofit for the liver: use in NAFLD, steatosis and steatohepatitis
The use of Pirogov Bishofit in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), steatosis and steatohepatitis as part of comprehensive treatment has also been studied.
According to the conducted studies, the use of bishofit in comprehensive programs was associated with positive changes in the blood lipid profile and carbohydrate metabolism. Its effects on tissue sensitivity to insulin and its potential use in preventing the development or progression of fatty liver disease were also investigated.
Bishofit therapy methods for NAFLD may be used to enhance comprehensive therapy and support the functional state of the hepatobiliary system.
The application regimen should take into account the stage of the condition — steatosis or steatohepatitis — as well as insulin resistance and accompanying digestive system disorders.
Drinking bishofit for athletes and during physical activity
Bishofit for athletes and people exposed to high physical loads may be used as a source of a natural magnesium-mineral complex during training and recovery.
Magnesium is necessary for normal muscle and nervous system function and energy metabolism. For this reason, Pirogov Drinking Bishofit is used in recovery and rehabilitation programs, as well as during periods of intensive physical training.
Bishofit therapy and the Poltava deposit
Bishofit therapy is a method of using the natural mineral bishofit in therapeutic, balneological and health-resort practice.
The active use of bishofit in therapeutic practice began to develop in the 1980s, primarily for musculoskeletal conditions. Its applications subsequently expanded, and internal use of bishofit began to be studied alongside external procedures.
One of the natural bishofit deposits is located in Ukraine near Poltava — the Zaturyne deposit. Poltava bishofit became the basis for the development of bishofit products and therapeutic methods by Dr. Pirogov Laboratory.
