What Is Ozovital?

Ozovital is a ready-to-use applicator based on ozokerite and paraffin, designed for local heat therapy.

Unlike traditional ozokerite, it does not need to be melted, applied with a brush or formed into an application manually. Ozovital is already prepared for the procedure: simply heat it to the recommended temperature and apply it to the required area of the body.

Composition: ozokerite, paraffin, 2 wipes.

How Does the Ozokerite-Paraffin Applicator Work?

Ozokerite and paraffin have high heat capacity and low thermal conductivity. Once heated, the applicator accumulates heat and gradually releases it to the tissues, providing prolonged and even local warming.

Heat therapy helps:

• relax tense muscles;
• support local blood circulation;
• reduce the feeling of stiffness;
• provide local warming of joints, muscles and the back;
• support recovery after physical strain and injuries.

Ozokerite-paraffin applications are used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation as a method of local heat therapy.

When there are no contraindications, they may be included in comprehensive programs for:

• arthritis outside the acute stage, osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis, contractures and joint stiffness;
• recovery from certain fractures, dislocations, sprains and injuries to muscles and ligaments;
• neuralgia, neuropathy and other peripheral nervous system conditions for which local heat therapy is recommended;
• rehabilitation after musculoskeletal injuries.

For other chronic medical conditions, the use of heat therapy should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

Ozovital: Instructions for Use

Heat the package containing the applicator in a water bath or microwave oven to 50–60 °C.

After heating:

1. open the package;
2. remove the applicator;
3. check its temperature;
4. apply it to the required area of the body;
5. cover with oilcloth and insulate with a blanket.

Procedure duration: 15–40 minutes.
Frequency: daily or every other day.
Rest after the procedure: 30–40 minutes.
Recommended course: 15–20 procedures.

Do not use an excessively hot applicator due to the risk of thermal burns.

Can Ozovital Be Reused?

The Ozovital applicator can be used twice — once on each side.

Contraindications and Precautions

Do not use in case of individual sensitivity to any of the product components or if there are general contraindications to heat therapy.

Do not use in the presence of acute inflammatory or infectious conditions, fever or other conditions in which local heat therapy is contraindicated.

Do not use during pregnancy.
